South Australian Parliament House
Hand blown glass and timber. I had to work very closely with the heritage architects for this commission. The lights had to be contemporary yet fit in with the heritage values of the building.

Roseberry school "Tree of Life"
This commission was done in collaboration with artist Jonathan Partridge.
We wanted to make an art piece that gave a vision of belief, community and discovery to the students in Rosebery. Tree of life sits in a vast wilderness with an expansive sky. The tree is filled with a community/flock of birds from all walks of life representing families, individuals and collectives. Colours were chosen to represent change in season and change in life.
The birds are also a symbol of freedom. Only some of the birds were painted with the idea being that a few can stand out against many.. This was a bit of our metaphor for Rosebery, to give hope and inspiration.. The tree is gnarled and twisted representing the trials and triumphs of wisdom and growth.
Lansdowne Primary school seating
I made this commission with Forrest Whitten an amazing saw miller, furniture maker and builder. We felled the trees, milled them and then carved the timber. At the end of this process our waste was enough to half fill a garbage bag.
Landsdowne Primary School seating
